Nicolas Winding Refn has been trying to make a name for himself internationally for a few years by now and films like "Bronson" and "Valhalla Rising" helped him a good part of the way, but with "Drive" under his belt, all eyes are now on Refn for future projects. "Drive" was simply put the absolute highlight of the year for me when it comes to cinema. Absolutely untouchable. Ryan Gosling, who plays the lead in this film, has played a lot of fantastic roles in the past, but in "Drive" he has simply outdone himself with this Clint Eastwood type of silent-guy/tough-guy role. This is, simply put, a fantastic film and if you haven't seen it, make sure you do. And also, don't forget to check out Refn's Danish masterpiece "Pusher II" also. (9 out of 10)
