We all know the story: A man gets out of prison after many years and tries to start over, but his past comes back to haunt him. Samuel L. Jackson's newest leading-role flick, "The Samaritan" is opening in American theaters on April 20, but it probably won't be his ticket back to magazine headlines. "The Samaritan" is a low-budget thriller that, for a while there, seemed to be actually having a shot at being good, but along the way it just sort of seemed to fade out on me. (5 out of 10)
