If you bought into the phony short documentary "Kony 2012", you should much rather have watched this true story that also takes up the subject of child soldiers in African countries. This is my no means a perfect film, but it has its heart in the right place and not to mention a great performance from Gerald Butler, who plays Sam Childers. A former drug-addict and criminal who gets born again, becomes a preacher and goes to Sudan to do charity work, but seeing what goes on over there, it isn't easy for Childers to look away.
