Here's a film from 2011 that didn't get as much attention as it deserved. "Higher Ground" is the directorial debut of Vera Farminga, who we all know as a gifted actress. Besides directing this film, she's also playing the leading role and doing it well. She plays a middle-aged housewife, mother and a devoted christian, who is also struggling with her faith in God and in her marriage. I totally get this film and I think that a lot of people will relate to it, especially christians. (8 out of 10)
