Attack The Block

I haven't had this much fun with an alien invasion film in ages. This film is funny and full of tension, as it blends comedy with action, sci-fi and a tiny bit of horror. The actors, who I don't recall having seen before, all have good performances and Joe Cornish stands out as one of the best new-comer directors of last year. Although not quite alike, I just loved the Gremlins kind of vibe this film gave me, which was something that was very welcome indeed, as I just loved those films as a kid. (7 out of 10)
