Along with "Kill List", which I wrote about earlier today, I think "The Innkeepers" is probably the best horror film of 2011, but I have to add that 2011 wasn't a very good year for horror films, judging from the collection of films that I watched. "The Innkeepers" takes its time to build up some tension - some may even argue that it takes too much time - but once it gets going, there are some solid scares in store. The story may not be the most original, as we've seen a lot of films about haunted hotels, but "The Innkeepers" is arguably the best film on the subject in quite some time. (7 out of 10)
I didn't think Innkeepers was the best horror movie of 2011, but it certainly was one of the better. Aside from the ANNOYING Sarah Paxton, everything else was good.
SvarSletthere's no horror film in 2011 that I would rate higher than a 7, which says a lot, in my opinion. As for picking a favorite horror film for 2011, I can't make up my mind if it's "kill List" or this one.
SvarSletTry "Sleep Tight" then. ;)
SvarSletyeah, I saw you had that one on my best of 2011 list, if I remember correctly. I'll trust your judgement and give it a try :)
