Most people think that Jim Carrey is hilarious, but I think that for the most part he's rather annoying. Of course, that is in his comedies, but he's played wonderful roles in films like "Man on the Moon", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "The Truman Show". In "Mr. Popper's Penguins" he's back to being annoying, as a successful business man who inherits six penguins. Sure, this film is cute and all that. And my oldest daughter, who I watched this one with, really loved it, but I think pretty much all the family movie cliches in the book were used for this movie. (4 out of 10)
