Let me first say that Meryl Streep's performance in this film is just phenomenal and she so deserved that  Oscar she got for best actress in a leading role. Okay, I am glad we got that out of the way, because other than Meryl Streep's performance, this film really doesn't have as much to offer as one should expect. Actually Meryl Streep singlehandedly carries the entire film. Let's face it, if a film as boring as this one wasn't about Margaret Thatcher, it wouldn't even be given the light of day. So instead of a confused old Mrs. Thatcher looking back on her career, I'd like to see a film about her actual career. Or would I? No, not really, but I would rather than this nonetheless. I'll put an extra star on this rating for Meryl Streep. (6 out of 10)
